Google Now making Google Play All Access sound better on the M8?

Is anyone having the problem that I am having? I listen to my music with Google Play All Access. My sound usually starts out feeling unbalanced. When I open up Google Now while the music is playing and the microphone blinks, my sound quality improves. I am using my old iPhone 5S headphones but I am thinking this is a software issue. I plan to test it out with different headphones and different apps. However, does anyone know if this is in fact an issue that people besides me are having?

Have you checked to see if its something like Boomsound kicking in?
Like try turning BOOMSOUND off and see if its balanced one way or the other, or at least consistent poor/good, adn go from there.

I don't use GP All Access, although may try it out. I just use Pandora, Google Music (my 20K songs uploaded), Spotify, Stitcher, etc. They all seem pretty solid across the board.

Ok it doesn't seem to be having any problems on Amazon Cloud Player. It's apparently a Google software issue. On Google Play All Access, its not as obvious but it still happens with the Boomsound off. Also I am wearing a different pair of headphones today!

I take that back. It did the same thing earlier on the train on Amazon Cloud Player.

I also noticed that the sound goes bad again if I have a sound effect from another app and then I have to go into Google Now again.

I have no doubt this is a software glitch now that I have swapped out my M8 for another. However, Sprint and their horrible customer service representatives could not let me exchange my M8 for an S5 so I am returning to Verizon and I have already ordered my LG G2. Good luck to everyone and their M8's!
