Google Pay not working on S7 Edge G935F

Hi all, I recently purchased the phone from ebay as a refurbished unit. Everything works fine but when i try to use google pay it reports for security reasons it cannot load as the device may be rooted. I have done some research and used apps to check the knox status (0x0) and root status, which it hasn't been rooted. Doesn't make any sense any help would be appreciated. Thanks
P.S I have tried a full factory reset of the phone as well.

This is a known issue with Samsung devices, I'm not sure if Samsung released an update to fix it or a workaround was published. Might be worth checking on XDA to see if they have a resolution if no one here has had this issue.

Just an update here I have realised the phone is still running 6.0.1 marshmallow but the update software button doesn't do anything and also I tried to update with smartswitch which also reports the phone is up to date.
