Google Phone dialer app - backup and restore

Hi, i need your advice please, guys.

I have problems with Google phone dialer app, the only way to fix it is to delete the data of the app or to uninstall it.

I dont want to lose the call logs nor the recordings.

Is there a way i can backup these things and restore them at a later point?

Hi, Lionheart3829,

If you don't want to lose the call logs and the recordings you can backup them there are 2 ways to do so. You can backup all your recordings to Google Drive. However, you can use the help of third-party software Dr.fone backup and restore. It is a computer tool. You can Google it and download it online and install it on your computer.

Using this tool you can selectively backup all the data from your phone and whenever you need them you can restore them back to any phone.

On Pixel phones at least, the call logs are stored in a different system app. On my Pixel 3a XL and Pixel 6 Pro, there's a "Phone and Messaging Storage" system app and a "Phone Calls" system app, so it's one of those. I just tested on my 3a XL by clearing the app cache and data of the Phone app, and after I opened it again, it took a second to reload the call log, and everything was there.
