The Google Photos app 5.67 update yesterday 11.11.21 seems to have removed the Magic Eraser feature. I can't find it. And, if my recently updated apps list is correct, there is nothing small about the update size of 1.3GB. Pixel 6 Pro Verizon edition ordered from the Google store.

You will find it in Tools under Edit after you've taken a photo.
And even for photos you did not take with your pixel 6 you can use magic eraser. I've been messing around with pictures from 4-6 years ago pretty cool stuff.

There's an article out on the Androidcentral front page that talks about this and this is the paragraph explaining what to do about it.
"There's no telling how many people have received the update but, if you were one of the unlucky ones who already got the app update, you can uninstall said update by heading into the Google Photos app properties, selecting the three-dot overflow menu on the top right, and selecting uninstall updates."

They must have pulled that update because I just checked my Play Store and forced an update check and nothing, and I still have version 5.66.

Mine is 5.67. What is most surprising is the size of the update @ 1.3GB. Well, Google will get it fixed.

Installing updates takes it back to 5.48. Pre Tools and Magic Eraser.

I haven't received the update yet my version is 5.66 this good to know or they pulled it

Just found out I'm still on version 5.66 also, and I don't see any updates available. It must be true, they must have pulled the update. I'm sure they'll fix it...

I also lost it, but received an update to Google Photos an hour or so ago that brought it back.
