Black XL here. I must be the only who does not really care for the Panda/Stormtrooper look!

I'm actually on the same boat as you. After seeing many videos of the Panda phone when looking at it head on I feel the white outer rim of the phone contrasts a lot with the black front of the phone. I find it a bit distracting. Technically you can buy the black phone and just skin it to make it look like the panda if you like the color scheme that much. Also I wish black actually meant black and not this grayish black that Google likes to use.

Was it on the Google store? It's showing the Panda still out of stock for me

Edit: Nevermind I see it's outof stock for the unlocked version but in stock for the Verizon one. Sad days.. I'm on ATT. Not sure if I really want to switch just to get it now

Google store order. Ordered Verizon SIM model, 64 in black. Ordered about 11 am today, ship date Nov 21.

You mean the Verizon version? Verizon doesn't have them online yet.

Lol, dude you had to have the Verizon app on your phone to pre order a Pixel 2 right after the Google event. Verizon didn't open their website up to online pre orders until 3 AM on Thursday.

Yeah I got the smaller Pixel 2 as well. After over a year with the 6P, I think I am ready for a smaller device. Mine ships on Oct 17 with a 18-19 delivery date. I hope it comes earlier though, since I fly out of the USA on the 14th. In that case, I'll have my father in law bring it home for me on late October.

Edit: My card got charged now BTW. Hopefully it's a sign that it'll ship earlier than expected.

I didn’t have time to pre-order on the 4th. I wanted the Kinda Blue Pixel. When I tried to pre-order on google site it showed “delivery 6 to 7 weeks”. When I tried to add it to cart it said “sorry out of stock”.

I didn’t buy the first Pixel at launch, how bad is google at replenishing stock? It would seem pretty ridiculous if you have act like an eBay sniper to buy their phones from them...

I ended up ordering through Google after I calmed down over their sorry ordering site and issues. Black XL 128GB Verizon SIM with the Preferred Care. 11/13 date was given ... :-/

When was your estimated ship date? I ordered about 2 minutes after the event, Unlocked Just Black XL 128gb, and got Oct 25-26. Now it shows the same phone as being ready in 2-3 weeks, or Oct 19th-26th, so I hope mine gets bumped a bit.
