Ordered mine last night. Pixel 2 XL , 64 GB, Just Black. Scheduled delivery of 10/27. In my experience it's usually sooner.

Sold my wife's Pixel XL 128 with Daydream View on Ebay when the Note8 came out. 7 day Auction, it sold for $418, then subtract shipping and Ebay fees I netted $362. I'm taking advantage of the trade in on my Pixel XL 32. Don't think I can get close to $400 anywhere else.

Just sold my 32GB XL for $450 on swappa in less than 48 hours. Didn't even include my Daydream Viewer. Swappa > All.

Ordered the just black 128 GB while the event was going on. Ships by October 18th and arrives by October 23rd. The black and while looked good, but couldn't be ordered at the time I checked. It can now, but has 7-8 week wait time before shipping. I don't want to wait that long, because even after replacing the battery, the Nexus 6P is starting to die far too quickly during the day when I actually use it. I think with the Pixel 2 XL, the hardware finally looks like a real jump over the last Nexus, and probably worth it. The price is higher than what I would like, but with the 0% financed payment plan, it doesn't seem all that bad in the end. I was tempted to take the trade in program, but the offer of 150ish on the 6P was not as good as I can get elsewhere.

The Nexus 6P preorder was a mess, as there was a long wait after the announcement, and the shipping seemed completely randomized, with people ordering it weeks later getting it before day one buyers. The Pixel 2 XL buying experience seems much better, as long as you can settle for the black one. The accessory prices in Google store are insane, though, with a ridiculously high price for a tempered glass screen protector. I am going to give the no name amazon brand a shot first, because I can't stomach the apple level of price gouging,

The Verizon versions are unlocked, They simply come with a Verizon sim is all.

Yup. Verizon version only. Carrier unlocked with locked bootloader.

I wonder why some are getting early ship dates while others like me have to wait until mid Nov? I don't see any rhyme or reason to these different ship dates i'm seeing.

Panda 2XLs are slow to ship, as they are essentially backordered, and have to come on a boat from China before being shipped. Black are likely sitting in a warehouse near you, or already on an inbound ship, and fewer people want them. If you order it in black you get it in 2.5 weeks, if panda, then you have to wait.

Means the phone is out of stock or the website is still having latency issues.

That's what I was worried about, but after leaving it in my cart and trying it an hour later, it worked!

Yup. Verizon version only. Carrier unlocked with locked bootloader.

Must be a US thing. Google Store Canada has the Kinda Blue

Your card will be authorized immediately to hold the spot. The charge won't be finalized and post until they actually ship the unit. It has always been that way. Their statement is fully accurate.

i had the galaxy s7 edge and what i didn't like was updates. i bought it at the samsung store and still same phone that people bought from there carrier so not really good for updates. i had the nexus 6p before and was happy with it. i also use an iPhone which is really great but iOS kind of boring...

i ordered the pixel 2 because of updates and size. like a 5 inch screen and bezels to hold it. mine says shipped 17th october

Ordered 2 Black XL's (one for me and one for the wife), sadly the "panda" was sold out. Looking forward to the stock Android experience. To be honest I'm fairly OS agnostic and started my smartphone journey with WP, briefly went to the Note 5, then switched to Apple... tried a Mate 9 (loved it but overheated a lot), briefly toyed with S8+ but found the Samsung bloatware is unbearable so went back to Apple. However, I found this phone to be compelling because of what it had to offer with the camera, and Google Assistant.

Should get my hands on it Oct 25th.

Quick question... so the free Home Mini offer... do you get a code in the box with the phone, or does Google email you a code when the phone ships? Couldn't find an answer there.

What are you saying here?

So far as I know, the XL comes *only* in "Just Black" and "Black & White" - it's not a question of Panda Blue being out of stock; the XL isn't offered in Panda Blue at all.
