Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL Pre Order / Shipping Discussion

I have 2 Just Black Pixel 2 XL's arriving today, one in 64gb, one in 128gb.
I ordered the 64gb on 10/5 and it shipped fedex 2 day on thursday
I ordered the 128gb last wednesday and it shipped fedex ground on Thirsday...

Im not sure which one I will keep....anyone want to buy my other one, they are both unlocked versions... otherwise i will return the one I do not want

Shipped Thursday 2nd day delivery.

Tracking info shows delivery should occur only on WEEKDAYS

NO SIGNATURE REQUIRED

FedEx delivers on Saturday.

Why the hell does Google specifically exclude Saturday delivery when people are most likely home? And on top of that just dump the thing at people's doors?

Even worse, FedEx can't hold it for pickup due to "the shipper's specification".

They couldn't have designed a better system if their goal is too assure as many phones as possible are ripped off....
 
It's probably more expensive for sat delivery and if they require a signature then it could be days before u get it if u aren't available to sign for it. With ups I can pick it up after 6:30 if delivery has been attempted. FedEx just keeps attempting to deliver for 3 days.
 
And no sooner that I posted that it refreshed to delivered! Could this be the first panda in the wild???

A full week since my first pending charge... The pending charge has gone away, I still don't have a phone, still can't cancel or change order, still don't have any shipping information, still can't get a straight answer from anyone at Google.
 
So far I'm loving my Pixel 2 XL!
I'm older than you, but with your grey hair we share demographics......

I think us older guys are much more understanding and accepting of the idiocy of a blue shift issue when viewed at an angle.

Disclaimer: I say idiocy for those that have it upon angling at 10-15 degrees give or take. I sympathize with the folks that can't rotate it at all.

But that is what the warranty is for. Google sends the replacement BEFORE you send yours back, transferring data is a snap, and return shipping is covered.

BFD--Are you looking at photos where it matters? If there's one in that email you're going to obviously pick up the phone. If it's a notification? You'll check it by picking up your phone.

Get a grip.
 
I’m seeing others that ordered later and are receiving sooner than I am and I’m thinking my mistake was opting for the free shipping as to why it is delayed. (Black p2 64GB) As this model seems to be the easiest one to procure. Next time I’ll pay for expedited. Still have 10 days to go.
 
Something is definitely up. I order both versions (Black), received the Pixel 2 but the XL2 is supposed to ship today and arrive by 10/31, but nothing yet. I believe I saw somewhere that some the xl2 preorders were pushed back to Nov1?

My black XL2 64gb was supposed to ship last Tuesday and I still don't have tracking information, and no one at Google can give me an answer as to why despite multiple tries.

Whatever it is I would just wish they'd be honest and say something. If it's the screen and they're replacing it... Great! Say that.
 
I got mine last Thursday, XL 128 black, and it's great. I see the subtle blue shift, but if I hadn't read about it, I would never notice it.

My issue is that I pre-ordered, and then was told two weeks later that my order was refused. I was told this by Google, even though I had my Google credit card in my hands, and the account showing my available balance as fine. I spoke to the bank, no help. I spoke again to Google, and they were no help. So, I reordered and canceled my supposedly refused pre-order. This cost me the free Mini. Not really happy about this.
 
My Scheduled ship date for my Panda 128gb is today. My CC was hit at 2:00AM this morning and about an hour ago I received a tracking number from Fed-ex. I should have it Wednesday.
