Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL Pre Order / Shipping Discussion

I just got off the phone with Google Play support, they checked my order and verified that my phone will be shilling, but their system is experiencing a backlog of the system generated emails.

I am trying to remain optimistic.

The CSR said I might not receive the email until tomorrow.

If I don't wake up tomorrow to a 'your phone has shipped' email..... Google is getting an earful

Though somewhat troubling that Google, a company that created gmail, is having email issues...

Had no trouble ordering Just Black XL 128 during the presentation, said it would be delivered Oct 18-19. Got a notice this morning that it has shipped! When I clicked on Tracking, I got a message from OnTrac that it couldn't find my tracking number. Has this happened to anyone else

Yeah their tracking sucks, mine just started working.

I'm honestly annoyed with these companies and their incorrect shipping dates. I went through this with Samsung and now Google. I don't care if i have to wait,but don't tell me that my device will ship on October 17th if you can't meet the deadline.

I preordered the Kinda blue Pixel 2 64GB Verizon literally before Google announced the preorders. I preordered at 1254pm est on Oct 4th .

Nothing Yet About Shipping...

Sweet! Just got an email from the Google Store... advertising the Google Home Mini. That's just cruel Google!

Lol we all got Rick rolled by Google! I got the same email. This really wouldn't be an issue if they would just acknowledge the delay and let you know what's going on. I just don't get how people who ordered after me by days, have tracking numbers, and I'm still stuck in ordered status

Agreed, I just wonder if they are delayed in updating emails and order statuses. Hoping this is the case.

Don't think so, I have FedEx delivery manager so as soon as a shipping label is created I'd be notified directly from FedEx. I've gotten nothing yet.

Just got my shipping notification for my 128GB Just Black Pixel 2. It's coming in via Ontrac. So far it seems on time (Oct 17 shipping, 18-19 Delivery).

I'm in NY too. I noticed my order page says delivery on 19-20. So I guess if Google ships tomorrow and Overnights it, I would be ok with that. I mean it doesn't launch until the 19th.

Found this on Reddit and worked for me, haven't gotten email from Google yet but FedEx package delivering tomorrow

"I suggest everybody check their shipping with this link. For the XXXX put your GS order # and for Zip XXXX put your zip code. I just found my tracking and shipment this way."

Yeah I've got the exact same delivery dates, will be interesting to see what happens with these

I will say this, Google has never failed me. Nexus 5, 5x, 6,6p and Pixel XL. All on the time or a day early.

You need to edit the link, put in your order number and zip code in the link where there are X's and then browse to that link.
