Android Central Question

Had the phone a week now and absolutely love it.

However when using my vodafone 4g data for some reason I can't send or receive WhatsApp images, or videos, and it also won't refresh my twitter feed. I still get notifications etc which is odd. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling both apps

All works fine on WiFi......

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Welcome to Android Central! What region of the world are you using Vodafone in? Go to the APN settings and see if anything is set to IPv6 -- if so, change it to IPv4, and see if that makes a difference.

Having looked at this I'm currently running IPv4, and I'm using this in the U.K. south England to be precise.

It's always a good idea to begin at the beginning...

Open WhatsApp at the main screen, tap the three-dot menu at top right, tap Settings and then Data usage. Check these options:

Have turned them off and back on to see if that worked but still nothing

Yes, they were very fluffy and basically said as they aren't licenced to sell the phone they couldn't help!

I got the phone through carphone warehouse but they couldn't see to find any issues with it!

Could this be the problem? Source from android authority:

Android 8.0 Oreo issues: Some users have come across a variety of issues after updating their device to Android 8.0 Oreo. These include data, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS connectivity, microphone issues, and random reboots. The upcoming update to Android 8.1 Oreo should help address some of these problems.
