Can someone give me photos or a general answer on how the Google Pixel 2XL's snapchat camera for selfies and back facing photos hold up against IOS phones e.g. IPhone 7?

Apple isn't comparing their phones to the P2 (or P2 XL), but in any other comparison, the Pixel wins for dynamic range. (That's because Google developed a chip that does the combination of overexposed and underexposed pictures in hardware, making it take milliseconds (or less) rather than seconds (which no one would stand for - snap a picture, then your phone can't be used for 5 seconds?)
So at a guess (I don't use Snapchat), high dynamic range pictures come out better with the P2, but pictures with a small density gradient aren't affected.
