What fancy lighting do you think they are using? There's no hot shoe to attach a flash, so most aren't going to bother with a slave unit.As many people are saying, it all comes down to the user. These photos are taken by professionals, with all the fancy lighting and stuff. Looking forward to seeing some average user shots

Well I could see them using something to reflect a bit of light onto the subjects in the sunset shot. What fancy lighting do you think they are using? There's no hot shoe to attach a flash, so most aren't going to bother with a slave unit.

That's cheating for promotional purposes? Who says they are trying to show "average joe" quality pics? And using reflectors is definitely cheating if you're trying to demonstrated the "average joe" quality pic. I can't disagree there.
If they were using reflectors, the pictures will be giving you the sense that the camera's HDR did a great job with the shadows when actually light was being placed on the subjects face in order to reduce the shadow. That's cheating for promotional purposes? They are only going to try to show what the camera is capable of. No different than say Sony or Canon putting out advertising material for one of their actual cameras.

Can't obviously be 100% sure of the authenticity of the device but here's more video footage w/ EIS looking like it's insanely legit

That's from the Australian on Reddit that got his phone early. I started a thread about it a while back. It is a legit video.
