Google Pixel XL - Preorder /order/shipping thread

Your phone is unlocked. It should work with your Verizon sim. I say this based on what I have read from the Project Fi FAQs. You should be all set.
 
How are they shipping out Monday when those that have ordered from Google store are just sticking on preordered or pending? When did you order from Project Fi. I have been on pending for 5days I order 10/28 QB XL 128G. Getting very frustrated. Does anyone know how quickly it turns from pending to shipped?

It's kinda frustrating. My only guess is that Google is allocating stock to Verizon, Fi, and their store. And, at the time of my ordering, Fi had some in stock ready to go. I ordered mine this afternoon (Saturday). ETA is Monday or Tuesday (14th-15th) with expedited shipping. I kinda wish I hadn't expedited but oh well. I was tired of waiting and excited for the wait to be over. So far I'm keeping my original black Google store order with the plan to switch phones and return the Silver Fi one. I'll be talking to customer service to make sure that it's possible. Shouldn't be a problem.
 
So Project Fi has phones in stock? I'm on the horrible wait list for black xl 128 from the google store, and broke down and ordered a 32gb black xl, delivery in 3-4 weeks. I would prefer the 128gb, so I clicked on the project Fi ordering option, and the first thing it does is start trying to sign you up for Fi without showing if there are phones in stock.

Anyone know how that works? Can I sign up for Fi without porting an existing phone number, buy a phone (assuming they have one in stock), and then get the phone and cancel Fi without ever using it (and getting billed)? And then just pop in my Tmobile SIM and start using my new phone?

Meh, never mind. Just went far enough through the ordering process to see it is out of stock on Fil as well. Sigh.
 
Fi has 128 silver xls in stock,. But I want to keep my vzw plan (I get 12 GB for 60 bucks a month with my Corp discount). But the thing that concerns me is is if I did the Fi store I wouldn't have insurance. I'm not gonna buy a 900 phone without insurance that covers damage and loss.
 
Is the Google Fi Pixel the same as the one in the Play Store? Can it be used on other carriers and can it be rooted?
 
Just pulled the trigger on a silver 128 from Fi,. I found a place to give me 140 for my v10 and 400 cash for droid x force. While silver was my second choice I decided color wasn't as important as having the phone and based on the debacle that is Verizon shipping estimates this keeps things off my bill and keeps my bill under 100 since I won't have phone payment!

Found insurance through the worth group for 8 bucks a month and it's only a 50 deductible for a claim

Fi still has 128gb silver instock also I'm not cancelling vzw til I have my pixel xl but should have it tuesday

That's a bummer, I ordered mine on the 21st, non-Fi and I'm still pending. Heck I think there are still people that ordered on the first day that still haven't received one. I am glad that you are getting yours though. No hate here.

I've been struggling on the vzw side their preorder system hasn't been functioning well either so I have felt your pain as well,

I think when it comes to Google side of things you're better off ordering when it says it will leave the warehouse the next day. I'm still in processing status we will soon who lives up to their stated dates better but I'm feeling like Google will live up to theirs better then Verizon
 
Anyone else have their "Estimated Ship Date" disappear on vzw's website where you can check order info?

Calling vzw customer service also now says "your order is pending shipment and will be shipped by 12/09/16" instead of "your order is processing blah blah blah."
 
Mine stopped showing up on the app, but still shows up on the website, just the estimated ship date is no longer there. See my post above.
Yeah, my ship date got replaced with "please check back later" on 10/29, but this is the first time my order isn't showing up on the My Orders page.

That is crazy that itis shipping that soon and VZ is still pushing people back further and further.

Well I didn't cancel my vzw order yet but I just checked mine and it shows 4 different statuses
if I call 611 it says my order is pending shipment and says it should be shipped by 11/11.
The mobile version of my Verizon website doesn't show a date.
The desktop site says we are working hard to ship your item as soon as possible with no date.

If I check the my Verizon app on my phone it says I don't have any orders...

I'm holding on to both orders (Fi and VZW) who ever gets here first I keep and the other gets cancelled or shipped back if both ship at the same time which I highly doubt. At this point color doesn't matter to me.
