Google Pixel XL - Preorder /order/shipping thread

So as of this morning, I'm still listed as pre-order, with a delivery date of Nov 23-25. The order was placed on October 4 at 2:40 pm EST. 128GB Silver Pixel XL. That's kinda messed up if you ask me. Based on the posts here and other sites, the common thing is the 128 XL ordered from the Google Store are taking longer. But come on. I've seen some posts with my exact phone that were ordered after, even different days, the same way I did that at least have a status of processing. Having still in pre-order is concerning when everything is in motion.

My xl been in California for 2 days now. Still has a delivery date of 25. If they started to ship it on Wednesday, I might actually have it today. Again, I should had paid for express.

You are not alone, Everything thing with your order is the same as mine except I ordered black instead of silver and mine was at 2:17 PM PDT I am still stuck in Preorder limbo.

I ordered a black Pixel 32gb and a black Pixel XL 32gb on the 5th later in the evening. Yesterday afternoon I got my shipment notification. I did not pay for faster shipping or anything so it'll be here Monday. The day before it shipped I got an email from Google saying the order was cancelled because the payment didn't go through! I paid with Google Financing so I called them up and they said it was fine and it did go through. I don't understand why Google scares us like this.

I think it's a Pixel XL 128GB Very Silver thing. Most orders that I see being shipped on here and reddit are other sizes/colors/storage. For ours, I've only seen shipping notification for people that ordered earlier than us. I am hoping that we all get movement next week.

Woot, just picked mine up from the local fedex after the missed delivery earlier. Waiting on the wife to come home since she wants to be here when I open it.

Thank God my wife has little interest in tech; I would be really, truly, upset if I had to wait longer than 15 seconds to open that box.

The Very Silver 128GB XL that I ordered from Google on 10/4 @10:32 AM PDT shipped last night; sadly, I wasn't paying attention when I placed the order and thus ended up with ground shipping. It is scheduled to arrive Tuesday, 10/25.

Yesterday I also ordered a Quite Black 32GB XL from the Project Fi store with overnight shipping; it is also scheduled to arrive Tuesday, 10/25.

I am torn between which one to keep and which to return/resell. I am (now) pretty sure that I will not like the white face of the Very Silver model but also not comfortable with having "only" 32GB of ram. On the other hand, my current Nexus 6P has 64GB of which only a bit more than 20GB are in use.

Well, I just called Google and got a big F U for my trouble. Apparently if you are on the waitlist, even if you went on the waitlist between Oct 4-Oct 17th, you will not be getting the Daydream when you are finally allowed to give Google your money. That is pretty F-ing poor customer service in my opinion. I tried to order the damn phone, it wasn't my fault that you couldn't take my order. I am now re-thinking this purchase altogether, especially after hearing about the Bluetooth issues some people are having.

I was on the waitlist as of the 5th for a silver XL 128. i got an email on the 14th the pre-order was available again. I ran up to the computer and ordered. I posted that over here and i saw 2 other post where folks got their pre-order in that night as well but then it went back to out of stock really quickly.

That said. the pre-order cutoff was the 19th. Now, I had a chat with Google Store rep prior to me getting the email because I has the same worry as you and I was told if i was on the wait list in the pre-order window and i ordered when i got my email that I would still qualify for the free VR pre-order but it would be "while supplies lasted" meaning he couldn't say for sure i would get it.

I saw on another post that the Pixel cannot connect properly to your car blue tooth if you are connected to a blue tooth watch. In general folks have been having issues getting car connectivity working. Except for Ford Sync. One guy chimed in his Ford connectivity was working great. Of course I don't know if he had a wear watch or not.
