Google Pixel XL - Preorder /order/shipping thread

I just got an email. I havebeen delayed until 2/17. Blue 32gb XL.

My order for a Blue 32GB XL was also delayed until 2/17/17. I ordered it on 12/20. And the shipping was supposed to be yesterday, 12/28.

Are people seeing the delayed ship times to be accurate, or is Verizon giving themselves a safety net, then shipping early?

I sold my Note 5 to get the Pixel XL and chose the blue one based on shipping times... Looks like I'm waiting another 2 months. Woe is me. ☺

Yep same boat. I called last night and they said they pushed my ship date to 2/17 but that is worst case. They said it will probably ship earlier but no one knows.

When exactly did you order? I'm still waiting on my silver 128gb XL that I ordered on 11/2. My last expected ship date was 1/20, but the Verizon site hasn't shown me a date for a couple weeks now.

I ordered the Pixel XL 128GB in Silver on November 10th via Verizon website. I was told at that time it would ship December 20th. Then, I received an update the Unit would ship January 20th! Then, I received a shipping notification on Dec 23rd. I got the phone on the 28th of December.

Well I'm glad you got your phone. But WTF Verizon?! Apparently it's not first come first serve.

Mine was in pending status for about a week and then it changed to processing and then went to shipped status very quickly.

I think I better understand my delay. I did the BOGO50% off deal. So anytime they go to pick one, they can't pick (OOS) the other. Thus never getting my pixels.

It was under a 2-yr contract for $419.99. My other options were $36.24/mo. for 24 months, or $869.99 retail.

Notification was by email only.

Sounds like they are shipping those that are paying full price or 2 year contracts. Those who got deals are having to wait.

I ordered mine at a Verizon Store on 11/20/2016 (Two QB Pixel XL 128GB) and then realized my CC expired in December. I called customer service in Dec and they told me they cannot update payment info and I will get an e-mail to correct payment info on 1/6/2017 which is my expected shipping date?
I hope this works out but I will assume my order will be canceled and I will need to do some complaining to get fixed.

Exact thing happened to me. The day before my card was charged I called in to update the payment info. They assured me I would receive an email that payment didn't go through and to call in. Next day, my order was canceled and no email. I had to call in and place a new order and request a jump the line.

Notification was by email only.

Two year contracts are the worst way to buy a phone. You're now locked into Verizon for 24 months, and your monthly line access fee is now $40/month instead of $20. So you just spent $419 out of pocket and will pay another $20 per month for 24 months, so you basically paid $419 + $480 for that phone, total $899. If you had done monthly payments, you'd still pay the full retail over the 24 months, but now line access is only $20.
