Has anyone noticed that the math doesn't check out? This might have already shipped... 3-5 days which apparently started or ended on the 24th. Shipping takes 2 days, ie. it should leaving on the 24th, in transit on the 25th and arriving on approximately the 26th or 27th, depending on delivery schedule. The first call was on the 25th... prior to the scheduled arrival. The second call was on the 26th, either on or prior to scheduled arrival, after being informed it takes 2 days. If they say 2 days, why call back after less than 1? Also, not sure where, "no later than the 24th" came from, because they usually give an, "estimated shipping date", not a deadline. The earliest I would have ever imagined this arriving at my home based on, "estimated shipping date" of the 24th, would be the 27th.

In my opinion, this thread's title should be changed to one of the following:

"We hate David for some reason"
"We hate David's signature"
"Google Play != Garbage"

"!=" ? What are we coding in C? <> is the more modern version! GEEZ GET WITH THE TIMES!

Actually when you buy, it states "Ships by March 24, 2013. 1 Nexus 4 (16GB) $359.00 ". This is the direct quote from the order.

I called on the 25th because I did not receive a tracking number. When something is supposed to ship by a certain date, it makes sense to follow-up.

Your right, entirely unfair to call David a moron. In fact in following up, it seems they cancelled my order because they thought that Canada was not a valid country to ship to. This is in spite of the fact that they sent my first Nexus 4 to my home address in British Columbia.

Totally unfair to call someone a moron for cancelling an order because they thought Canada was not a valid country. It happens when we're so small, tucked away down south......

From Google:

I apologize for the frustration caused by the recent cancellation of your order. After reviewing your order to a further extent I see that my colleague, a shipping specialist, cancelled your order due to an address that is out-of-scope.

Due to mail courier restrictions, our shipper is unable to deliver to the following:

- P.O. boxes and APOs/NPOs
- Virgin Islands
- Guam
- Andorra
- The Channel Islands
- Gibraltar
- Mount Athos
- San Marino

Below are additional country-specific regions that we do not currently deliver to:

France: Guadeloupe, Martinique, R?union, St. Pierre and Miquelon, and French Guiana.
Germany: Busingen and the Isle of Heligoland.
Spain: Ceuta, Melilla and the Canary Islands.
Canada: Nunavut, Northwestern Territories, Yukon.

Your order has been cancelled as a result. You will not be charged for this order.

For your order to be successfully processed and delivered, an alternative shipping address will need to be provided when ordering. Please follow the instructions below to add an alternative shipping address to your account:

1. Sign in to your Google Wallet account (the Google Account used to purchase your device) at https://wallet.google.com
2. Click 'Address Book' on the left side of the screen
3. If your preferred address isn't listed, click 'New Address'
4. Enter your address and click 'Save'
If you'd like this to be set as your shipping address for future orders, you can do so by clicking 'Set as Default' after saving.
Once you've added an alternative shipping address, you can specify this as your delivery address when ordering.
With regards to voicing your concern, an opportunity to share any suggestions to our service will be provided after our correspondence in the form of a detailed email survey. We frequently share customer feedback with our development team and will be sure to pass along your input.

To talk to a member of the Google Play team, call 855-836-3987. Our support team is available 24/7.
Thanks again for your patience and understanding.
Have a nice day.
Best,
David

I am inclined to agree. Since we don't know which month as well, one could assume this one, but everyone knows what happens when you assume... it makes it hard for anyone just reading the post to help figure out the problem. Let's assume March though. The 24th was a Sunday. Most shipping does not happen on Sunday, so either moving it back to Saturday the 23rd, 3 shipping days would have been the 26th. 5 days would be today. Now calendar wise, February works out the same. My point is, whenever something is shipped, look at the calendar, and circle the last possible day for it to arrive, ignoring Sundays, and depending on shipping method, I wouldn't really count Saturdays as well.

Maybe this thread should be renamed to "DAVID DO NOT COME ON THIS THREAD" or "If your name is David, do not come here".

You know, as a sort of warning.

I am confused as to why billydan thinks the order was cancelled due to it being in Canada. The email does not say that, it simply says that the address you provided didn't meet their criteria. Maybe you had a PO box listed in your address. Maybe you used an abbreviation that made it look to them that you were in the territories. David never said, sorry dude we didn't think Canada was an approved country.

Yeah I double checked what Google's site says when the OP responded.. it says 3-5 business days all over the place, never has an ETA or estimated ship by date anywhere on it... then I double checked the e-mails from my Nexus 7 and Nexus 7 dock; again, no ship by date, etc. Maybe they handle shipping dates etc. differently in Canada. Bottom line, 3-5 business days + 2 business days for the actual shipping + 1 business day for vendor to carrier transfer = 6 to 8 business days, which depending on when you start the transaction, is 2 to 3 weeks. That being said, my Nexus 7 dock arrived on day 2, way ahead of schedule.

Me too; I was told my N4 would arrive in 1-2 weeks when I ordered it back in January. Came in 2 days for my mom and 3 days for me. Google's really sorted out their problems since the latest batch.
