Google play has done the mother of bad

Can we please stick to the topic instead of nitpicking the OP about grammer.

But why it's so fun :)

To the word OP it might have been a blessing in disguise. I was going to get that N4 as well but due to the scarcity of the N4 I opted for the GNote 2 and I'm glad I did, it's an awesome phone. There are tons of great features that make it a better phone than the N4 what the N4 has over the GN2 is and Stock OS. But what you get with GN2 is an awesome screen.

Just to offer a *possible* solution...

In the past year (and for as long as I can remember before that), my bank has called me a grand total of 2 times to confirm a purchase prior to authorizing the sale:

1. When I bought my Nexus 7 from Google online a few months ago

2. When I bought an iPad from Apple online (it was a gift for my stepfather...don't judge).

Had I not answered the phone to confirm those purchases, there's a very good chance the sale would have been declined by my bank and thus canceled by the seller.

I'm not even sure why it happened. The fact is I travel quite a bit for both work and recreation, I buy stuff online all the time, and I use this bank card to buy pretty EVERYTHING so it's not like those are the only major purchases I've put on it. So even though I'm frequently making large purchases online and in various different cities in the US all the time (things that could trigger an alert), they've only ever called specifically regarding two mobile devices I ordered. (They must be high risk for fraud?).

My point...is there a chance your bank/credit card/etc may have declined the charge rather than Google cancelling the order? I have no idea, just figured I'd float that out there if it can help get to the bottom of what happened.

And hey, I'd much rather have a Nexus 4 than an iPhone 5 too...but that's not a bad phone to be "stuck" with while you wait...

I checked Amex and there was no declined amount. I did question the calling to confirm they do this if its over 500.00 or from overseas. I might order again once they are back in stock.

first, make sure whatever phone you decide to buy comes in the language you speak ... second, grow up. given the recent events this week nobody is gonna sympathize with your tragic experience.

Re: Google play has done the mother of bad (an unreadable explanation)

Did you explain the problem to her... like you are trying to explain it here?
(Totally unreadable, run-on sentences, that are impossible to decipher.)

Here's another Google Play story:
My wife noticed some unusual charges on our credit card and, after talking with Amex, canceled the card and ordered a replacement. Unfortunately, I pre-ordered my N4 (Dec 3 - with a 3-4 week estimated shipping) with that original card. Now, Google Play won't let me update the transaction with the new card number. One Google rep told me that the order will be canceled when they attempt to charge my card. However, another rep said the system will send an e-mail to inform me that I'll have 7 days to submit a valid credit card to complete the transaction. I'm not optimistic. And of course, my wife now tells me that those unusual charges on our card were for a couple things she purchased on Amazon. Oh well.

muzammil,

I'm old and close to illiterate in most things discussed here, BUT, I'm guessing you really should NOT have all that information on your friend's Google Play purchase showing in your post?
