Google Play message "your hardware does not support this application. sorry!"

Newbie here. I have been downloading games from the Google Play store since I got my tablet four years ago and never had a problem. Now I cannot download all the great new candy and jewel games without getting that message when I try to open the game. They do download onto the tablet but do not open. I read something about tegra 2 and neon and unity but I am not attuned into this stuff. I just want my games. I did also read that now android does not comply with Unity 5. So what does this mean? Must I buy an IPAD to use the Apple store (very expensive to buy ipad)? How can Google Play continue to thrive if androids cannot download their games?
I am willing to purchase another tablet but don't know if all adroids will cause the same issue.

Just so mad about this - how can google play do this to everyone????

Welcome to Android Central! The Google Play Store shouldn't be letting the tablet download apps that it knows aren't compatible. What does the error message look like? Is it a typical system error message (i.e., in the default system font in a dark grey box), or is it an error that the game itself seems to be displaying (most likely in a different font and style)?

The games do download onto my tablet from the playstore - google play says it is compatible. After downloading and I click the icon to play the game, it comes up in a white box "Failure to initialize! Your hardware does not support this application, sorry" 75% of the games I download this happens to.

Can you show us a screenshot of that error message? I'm curious to see if it looks like a standard Android message.

My Samsung is four years old so I thought maybe the machine is too old to get those games. I did also read that now android does not comply with Unity 5.
I did also read that now android does not comply with Unity 5 in Tegra 2 which is the Samsung. So what tablet can I buy?

Hey bro. Same thing happened to me also.
No need to uninstall.
Please reboot the device and then go to settings >force stop the misbehaving app and then open the app again.
It will work
