Google Play Movies and TV HD option missing.

Hey Guys,

I don't know if this is the right place for it, but get over it. I have a Nexus 7 running MMuzzy's rom, but on my Google Play Movies and TV app there isn't a HD option. I'm PREEEEETTY sure the Nexus 7 is an HD device, so anybody know what's the deal, seal?

There are a lot of definitions of "HD".

High-definition video - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The most common are 720p (1280x720), 1080i and 1080p (1920x1080). The Nexus 7 is 1280x800. So it really depends on the program as to whether it's going to consider the Nexus 7 "HD" or not, because it can do 720p, but is not high enough resolution for 1080i or p, which have largely become the more common standard referred to as "HD".

Unfortunately, I have no idea whether Play movies should be showing HD options or not.

My nexus 7 gives me the option for HD when looking at movies and TV so it should work. The only issue I could imagine it being is that your ROM is causing some kind of issue. I'd say look into if other people are having that same issue and using that ROM.

That's what I'm figuring. I have the same ROM on my phone (GNex), and It does NOT have this issue. Obviously, that doesn't necessarily mean it's not the ROM, but It does make me think that the creator put some conscious thought into it. :/ Idk. Really annoying to pay for HD and not watch in HD.
