Hi. I have a Motorola Xoom (4.2.2 by TeamEOS) and a Galaxy Nexus (4.3 Stock) and all my music library is in DRM-free AAC/M4A.

On Google Play Music support page it's said that AAC, FLAC and ogg are transcoded do MP3. I managed to put my AAC albums on both devices and all music was properly indexed and are playable by Google Play Music app. Are these musics being played natively as AAC, or are being transcoded on-the-fly to MP3 as I listen?

Thanks

As far as I know, the music is transcoded to MP3 when you upload it to Google Play. I didn't know there was a way to load your music onto your device and point the Google Play app towards it.
