wanted to know if anybody else had the same problem with Google Play Music. I will start the music and it will play.other times when I go into the app and start playing music it will load the song because it was say google play music forced to close you're too close it or to report wondering if anybody has had this happen or if there's any ways around this.usually I just restart my phone but I think I should not have to if paying $7 a month.

My phone does the exact same thing. Sometimes it streams fine and other times it force closes and says Google play has crashed.

Mine does it in poor signal areas! If you pin your music to the phone it alleviates this problem!

I've been using GPMusic since I got my One three weeks ago and haven't run into this.

Interesting. For a few weeks last month, I also encountered Google Play Music crashes. I assumed the problem was solved by updating to the latest install.

Maybe it's because I switched play modes?

Wow. I can crash still too. I only have media on my phone and can crash if i select a specific son while in a shuffle song list.

But it only happens once, and is then OK.

Mine crashes all the time, but the music keeps playing. Annoying. I've started closing the app while listening and when I want to change, pause it, whatever. I then navigate to it through the menu bar. Hasn't crashed much since.

It's almost like when the screen goes to sleep it causes it. I have been running with battery saver on and wonder if that could be part of the problem too.

I have DS Battery Saver... and whenever I am using it, mainly at the gym, i turn off the Battery Saver, and turn it back on after the gym

No battery saver here! Since I pinned the music to the phone it has stopped crashing!

I have used the Google Music since the streaming service came out about a month or so ago.. Zero issues. Even when I had my S3 and now my HTC One I've honestly had 0 crashes. I also only stream it to the phone (no pinning).

Same here.... Zero crashes since day one, and heavy use on some days. (I mostly stream but have pinned some things as well)

how did you pin the music to the phone?

Put it in a playlist and click the pin button (near the middle right of the screenshot below)

There was an update to the Google Music app last week, and yet another update this week, so maybe one of these updates have solved the crashing problems people were having?

Possibly but the notes mostly talk about Chromecast support and fixes.. So I think that's what they are about.

No, they include other bug fixes as well. Know this to be true because last week's update fixed some problems I had on an older Android device with battery life issues. It's not just a Chromecast fix.

You.... Didn't read what you quoted. Read again.. I said Chromecast and fixes... Keywords... And fixes. Aka bug fixes.

I'm not sure what point you are making. Your original reply quoting me indicated that you thought the the updates were related to Chromecast. Like you were correcting me or something. I pointed out that no, based on my expereinces there were other fixes beyond just Chromecast fixes. So I am not sure why you are arguing with me. Particularly when we seem to be saying the same thing. If you agreed with me that there were other fixes too, then what was the point of post #14 quoting me to begin with? You sounded like you were disagreeing with something in that post.
