Verizon Galaxy S8 Google Play music files

If this has been addressed, my apologies.
Brand new S8+, downloaded all my music, directly on to the phone from Google Play Music. I can play my music in Airplane mode, so I know the files are there, somewhere. Where can i find the actual file where music is stored? I have downloaded several file managers, but it isn't anywhere I can see. Anyone have this issue, and if not, where are your music files stored?
There is no separate sd card in my phone.

Remember that unless you've purchased the music, you don't actually own it, so Google doesn't want you to be able to copy it to or use it on another device. My theory about this is that Google places the music in a hidden file that the normal user will never find. It probably requires very advanced skills to find.

According to what I can find, this is the case. The files are cached so they can be played but not available as user accessible files to prevent copying.

Some of the music is purchased, some was uploaded to google pay music by me. Hmmm Interesting.

Check the size of Google Music app file. It is likely now GB's in size.

Do you have an SD card set as internal or media, and can you direct Google to store music files on there?

Try Android/data/com.google.android.music directory. There are 2 folders there cache and files, maybe it's in the cache folder, but the file name won't make sense.

You would first need to download the music to your computer and then copy them to the phone. Like mentioned above, you will never have access to what you download from Google Music. I found this out years ago when I got my first Android phone. I asked the same question.

Music that is downloaded directly using the Google Play Music app is for offline use by the app only. As @NexusGirlX mentioned, if you want to manipulate the mp3 files and play them with a 3rd party music app, download them on your computer first (from your Play Music library website), then copy them to the phone's Music directory via USB or wireless transfer.

Thanks to all. The important fact is that it is all on my phone. The reason I was looking for the file was I wanted to make some ringtones. I found a way to do so, so I'm good now. Thanks!
