Is anyone else having issues playing music through Google Play on their Turbo? I am unable to play anything for the past few days, and I am not finding anything online regarding my issue. When I pull up a track I want to listen to, I hit the "play" button and nothing happens. The "play" button remains disengaged regardless how many times I tap it.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?

I've posted about this. Let me ask a question: Do you use Bluetooth at all with your Turbo?

The short of it is there is a bug I've found where if I disconnect BT before manually stopping whatever is playing (especially in Google Music) then the phone seems to think something is still playing and won't let the play buttons work in any app. A restart is the only thing I've found that clears the issue.

If that is your issue, please go to the Motorola website and report the issue so it gets fixed.

I don't use BT, but I gave the restart a try. After clearing the cache, it starting working after about 15 mins after the reboot.

Thank you very much for you help!

Just got to app info and force quit. Go back on app and it should now play your music.

I've had issues where playlists wouldn't play reporting an error on playback, then clearing the cache fixes it. It seems play music is sensitive to quitting the app certain ways, without stopping the playback as the previous poster noted.

Moral, clearing cache has always fixed my odd play music issues before.

I'm having this same issue now, but only after the recent update for the turbo. I deleted cache and forced stopped the app. I even stripped it of all play updates, then DL the current update.

It played for 10 min or so and as soon as I forwarded a track the issue came back. I'll try again with all that's been suggested above. (fingers crossed) 🍀🙈

My problem with Google music is that it pops up when my phone connects to my car.... every damn time! What if I don't want to play music?
I finally just disabled it. That was annoying as crap.
