I have Amazon prime and pay for the music unlimited also, I notice that there are still songs that you have to pay for!! This really annoys me because I'm paying a lot to NOT have to do that... So I gave Google play music a try and there's still songs I CANT download and it says to buy...

Am I doing something wrong? I really can't understand. All I want is to pay $10 a month and be able to not see that stupid but symbol on individual songs!!

Are you sure you're subscribed? Go to GPM > Settings > and ensure it says you are.

Yes I have a paid subscription to both. Also on both there are songs which I can download free, however Linkin park on Google it won't allow me to download, also humble and kind for some examples

What do you mean by download? You can only download things that are in a playlist and such. You can't do individual songs. Also if you download them you can only listen to them through the Google Music app (as in you can't get the song off your phone to your PC or other devices by pulling the mp3 or whatever).

Also what song?

I do understand the whole concept, I've been using Amazon prime unlimited for a year or so. There's random songs that they ask you to pay for, in Amazon an example is I need your love by shaggy (although I just checked and I could download it). Then on Google play I can't download for example, Kenney Chesney setting the world on fire, but I can download for example come over by Kenney Chesney.

I made a playlist, put the song in the playlist, and went to the playlist and downloaded it with no issue.

Pretty much put all songs you want in a playlist and then you can download them (the check box in the picture above will be a down arrow for download) and then you're good to go.

Huh, I guess I also got it working. Which service is better in your opinion? I like how Google play music syncs to a new device. I just bought a pixel from my turbo and Amazon prime music won't sync my downloaded sings so I had to go through And redownload

I've tried them all except for.. Amazon music haha. :P. I've been using Google Play Music for years now. It streams fine, has songs and music I like, and I can download music to my phone if I am unable to stream (going on a trip or whatever).

I know usually for most it's Google play music or Spotify. Both are great at what they do.

Ok good to know thank you. I think I'm going to switch to play mostly so I can have Google back it up and re download in the future but also because Amazon music charges a prime membership and if you want "all the songs" an unlimited subscription and there are songs they still charge for which is total b crap..!

I've had GPM for years and everything is included, and everything can be saved offline.

Yes I have it all working correctly, what I did to make it easy is I checked the option to auto download all playlist music. Then whenever I add songs to my auto playlist library they all download.

I really didn't like how Amazon prime unlimited didn't give you every song for free. Most doesn't cut it when you pay monthly for the service!

I LOVE Spotify

Amazon prime is awesome. It's recently I have heard that with Amazon prime, it gives you option to 2 millions music on Amazon music. My point is that to me they are a bonus for having Amazon prime, a taste to make you get Amazon music.

Anyway I use Spotify and I love it but I will try the three months free of GPM. Nothing beats free

Since switching over to play from Amazon unlimited (the paid one), I have to say I like play music ALOT better. It has more songs and it will sync to my next phone. Amazon prime unlimited wouldn't sync over the downloaded songs. Also I get YouTube red which is nice to skip the ads. I'm glad I switched over.

Also I'm trying to use all the Google native apps so I can have a pure and seemless experience.

GPM, Spotify, etc all have 30 million song catalogs, you really tell how thin Amazons offering is after a few days.
