Google play music vs Sony Walkman

Hello all.

I have only just got my Z3. I picked up a memory card for it today so I can download some music to it save streaming it all.

Is there or has anyone noticed a difference in sound quality between Google Play Music and the Walkman on the Z3? Also is there a way that I can get the Walkman to see the external card, or transfer the Google Play music to the Walkman.

I will probably only be using the earphones that come with the phone (can't believe they don't have volume control on) when listening. I do have some old sennheiser earphones but can't answer the phone with them in.

Walkman app had a few more equalizer options then the Google app. Unfortunately, from my experience there is no way to transfer the music from GPM onto the Walkman app. I may be wrong though.

I don't have an answer on your question, but i commend you for using those earphones! i watched Netflix for 45 min with them the other night and my ears were not happy.

They just not right then, I haven't used them much yet.

My wife said on several occasions that the Sony app has better sound quality than Google music. Haven't really investigated myself.
