I know it was fairly common for th G2 to have issues with Google Play Music; has the issue been corrected on the G3?

What kind of problem? I have the G2 and never had a single issue

There's a problem where your music will stop randomly, it takes either pressing play a bunch of times, force closing the app or restarting your phone to get it to work again, usually only lasts a few songs though and the problem starts again.
