Google play requires developers to make home address public.

So you apparently missed the part where I indicated I don't agree with public posting of address, but do support a mandatory contact method.

Google created what mess? Some (not all, probably not you) developers having NO contact method? No website, no email, nada. Just take customers money and that's it. Tough. No recourse if an App doesn't work after the ridiculous 15 minute time limit expires on the Play Store return policy?

1) There already is a requirement to publicly post your email address!

The announcement:
"Contact email address is mandatory to publish or update an app or make a change to your app's Store Listing page, you need to include a contact email address. Your contact email address will be available to customers on your app's detail page on Google Play.

To add a contact email address, go to your app’s Store Listing page and add an email address under "Contact Details"."

2) Google created the mess by not setting at least some guidelines and not manually reviewing each app. What did Google think was going to happen when they opened the door to the kingdom and wrote "hey, you can do whatever you want!".

Once again, I ask people why they haven't suggested that Google police the Play Store? It's like everyone is denying the fact that Google is the only one who doesn't police their app store.

Oh, I hate this forum software. When I try highlighting something to style it, the style code gets inserted AT THE BEGINNING OF THE POST. Annoying!

Google does police the Play Store in a limited fashion. Many people prefer that Google doesn't take a more active role in determining what content and functionality is allowed because they regard such policies as a slippery slope to blocking apps that some users actually want. Part of Android's appeal is its more open nature, and many of us are concerned that blocking apps from the Play Store could become a business decision rather than purely a consumer protection decision.
