I'm pretty sure I got it today, because now I have "trusted places", which I believe wasn't available before the update. 6.5.87 (1599771-430)
As far as I know play service is a "silent" upgrade done in the background.
Yes it is a silent install in the background. It does not announce when it happens or when it completes.
Checked earlier and I was on 6.1 just went into Google+ and it said I needed play services.. I clicked get play services it did nothing I could see and from reading this earlier I checked again and now I'm on 6.5.......
430 version?
IMHO, with limited experience thus far, battery life is dramatically improved with this update. Pleased, I am.

Interesting you guys say that it's a silent update. I got a notification on my Nexus as well as one of my coworkers who bought a Gen 2 Moto G from me. Not sure but I've seen it on both?

it seems that if you try to open an app that needs play services updated it will prompt you and you will be taken to a different page to accept the update. otherwise it just updates itself silently in the background. this is true at least in my experience.
That's not at all what happened to me. No prompt at all. Just happened behind the scenes.
