Why is there a guy with a heavy British accent on the 1-855-83-NEXUS number?? I found that to be a bit odd...did they say, "Hey you, random guy!! We need you to record a message real quick!!" Or maybe they feel British accents are relaxing or something...just a thought...

think they totally fumbled the release for people who preordered. The entire purpose of preordering a product is so that you are the first to get it. When they announced the tablet at i/o they never said it was going to be sold at 3rd party stores and brick and mortar. They released that news after the fact and now people who paid first and paid unreasonably high shipping rates (i live in SF gimme a break)are now financially worse off and I get my order later than others.

all those people trying to defend google are just playing devils advocate. This is kind of a trival issue and I will have the tablet in less than a week its just bad form on google's part. We live in a world of instant gratification and where shipping times are a major decision factor on who you buy from.

Lesson learned. Google play is bad for pre ordered. bottom line

Ordered as soon as it was available after the keynote and I was just charged but haven't gotten any email or checked my Google account. Pretty pissed at Google right now as I was "charged" the full amount around a week ago because I ordered on my debit card. If it's a pending charge on a credit card its one thing but pending a charge on a debit card actually takes it out. Granted they did put it back in several hours later but they did not inform me of this and it was out of the blue timing wise so I was down $230 dollars without knowing and nothing had even been shipped. They really screwed the pooch on this one, not because we're getting our shipments "late" according to our standards but because of the sheer lack of communication with their customers. The madness isn't really that we haven't received our tablets yet it's that Google has honestly left the play store customers in the dark. But I'm betting I'll have my tablet on Monday so I'm happy about that

GOT THE CHARGE!! Im trying to post a screenshot but i don't know how. But I ordered June 27th @ around 9pm from Google Play. Does anyone else still have it say "Your order has been sent to Google" on their Google Wallet transactions page even though they were charged today?
