Google Play Store Not Working

I have a tab 10.1, running a TWM copy of Jellybean. Ever since I upgraded from Gingerbread to ICS and then to JB, I've had this issue with not being able to download new apps via the store, or even if I email it to myself. I have tried just about everything, from checking if Download manager is enabled, to doing a factory reset...installing a fresh version of OS...removing and then re-adding my gmail account. NOTHING worked. Funny thing is though, when upgrading to JB, I accidently used a WiFi-only version....and yet when I connected to a WiFi spot, I could download apps!! That was the ONLY version that worked. I am literally torn whether I should continue battling with this, or just chuck the thing in the damn trash!

Since 18 March, via 14 (increasingly angry) emails with the play store, I've not been able to buy a Nexus 4, the bumper, or the charger. Each of the 8 or so reps have been useless, suggesting fixes that even I know are stupid. Not one of them connected the dots between helping me buy stuff from his employer, and his job. And apparently, "for security reasons" I can't get anyone there to place my order over the phone! The problem is Google's "check out page" -- it just does not work. I have a Galaxy ace 2, play shop stopped working just get "No Connection" [Retry] tried all the above download manager was working but still no Play shop also Gmail just says waiting for sync, Google messenger just keeps loading, Google local seems stuck on scanning, Google+ works search works, Google maps works, and Google Games works, if that helps hope some one can come up with another answer

SOLVED IT Phone Fault when summer time started it reverted to 1 Jan 2012 00.00am reset time and date and play shop now works and all the others mentioned.

hey, if you look at page 1 of this particular forum topic the person named FiendishMcButton had the answer that helped me resolve this issue. It was comment #10 in this topic.

This issue started for me the day that FB pushed that stupid download.

Google play not loading apps

Hi guys...I recently bought a tablet and the google play store opens but when it opens and I press on catagories it wont load...plz reply if you know what the problem is and have a fix...thnx

I installed Root App delete and advanced task manager. I cant remember which task i stopped in a hurry to load a game but since that the google play store has started giving this message
"Unfortunately, Google Play store has stopped". The same problem as with a lot of the people here. Please suggest a solution.
One more thing, there is a built in app named NQ mobile security which popped up this network optimization BS while i was playing and I clicked yes just to finish my game. The wifi icon since then has turned gray during connection instead of blue, but it is still browsing as usual except for the google play store.

The same exact thing is happening. I open the play store, and it says no connection, retry. I tap retry still says it. So I checked my internet I'm connected, checked the speed: 72mbps. So its fine, everything should be working. I have a question. Did you root your device any time? I'm not sure if it as to do anything about that because I did last month.

What fixed it for me on Samsung galaxy S3 running Android version 4.1.1 was:

Settings > Application Manager > All > Locate Download Manager (will be at the the bottom of the list when it's disabled) and enable it

Thanks for the help - it wasn't the google play app that was disabled for me it was the google framework but i scrolled to the bottom and there it was. Enabled and boom - all fixed!

Mine stop working and it was that my kid put date on 2000, and i did not notice for a couple of days :-!

I have a Galaxy Tab 10.1 running Android 4.0.4 that can no longer successfully update apps from the Play Store. As soon as one starts to update the Play Store screen will wink out and I can now longer open the Downloaded Apps section of Play Store. I tried FiendishMcButton's recommendation, but the Download Manager is enabled already. I have cleared data and cache for the Play Store, but that has not helped. The Play Store continues to crash as soon as any app begins to update. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
