Hi All,

Just a quick note, I noticed my Google Play Store updated to the new look the other day, along with the updated new look it also set all installed apps to 'Auto Update' Previous to this all my apps were set to not 'Auto Update' so I'm not sure why this has changed.

I only noticed this as when i went to install a new app after the update I got a warning about auto update incurring data charges when auto update is set.

Not sure if this applies to users in other countries or not?

You can change this in play store settings and it then applies this setting to all installed apps.

Thanks

Andy.

Yh I think its just a standard message to warn everyone. I personally just set mine to auto update over WiFi only so I dont need to worry about any charges.

May not have been clear enough with my original post,

What I wanted to get across was that all my installed apps prior to the update were set to NOT auto-update, but the update to app store changed all my apps to auto update automatically.

I can only speak for myself, but when Google play updated to the new design (which I am still undecided on), it did not change the auto-update settings which I have had turned off from day 1 with my N4.

When my market updated, it did not reset the settings to default, so I did not have any apps auto update. Do you have backup and restore in the main settings menu disabled?

did you clear data/cache of playstore? i cleared it so i believe it defaulted to always update.
seems like the default is auto update now but thanks for the heads up

To be honest I'm not sure what I did, all know is that one morning I woke up, Play store had changed and all my apps were set to auto update??

Won't matter soon though as I'll be on an unlimited data plan sometime soon! Can't wait to get rid of my overpriced tariff.

Some others have reported it happening too in the Note 2 forum.

Sent from my totally awesome Sprint Galaxy Nexus, even if I don't know all its secrets yet.

mine was automatically checked to auto-update right after the update, it was disabled before the update. luckily all my apps were up to date ;D
