Google Plus Messenger

Is there any way i can get an app that just does the messenger part of Google Plus? My phone has very limited storage and i don't use the main part of the Google Plus app, i just need the messenger. Also is there anyway i can get the conversations from the messenger on a computer? so i chat from there instead?
