Google Possibly Investing in Songza

No, they said that it did better in the drop test.
The video in your source showed immersion in water and a slide test as well.

There is more to phone quality than a drop test, such as fit, finish, etc.
Yes, I anticipated that the goalposts would start moving again, heh heh.

"Fit, finish, ect" are completely subjective and arbitrary values. It's not something that can be objectively tested. So you have no way of determining which is better.

I hope that everyone has a great day. This train is headed nowhere, and I am jumping off. You just can't tell some people the facts. :)
Yes, why can't we just accept your biased opinion as objective fact? Whats wrong with us? I totally agree. That must be incredibly frustrating.

That seems to be a tacit admission that you made those figures up.

So you don't have sources to back up your claim, so you come up with a dumb statement like that? LOL!
I'm outta here, because I have promised some mods that I would be nice, and I intend to keep my promise.:)

Well, I didn't see a source for your claims. But I saw a lot of figures. Where did you get them from if you did not make them up?

I can't hang around here. I have to go see a man about a dog.:)
Google is your friend. You made the original claim, so provide your sources.

Better ask your English teacher what the difference is then.

Considering I'm an English major, I can tell you that much. Sarcasm utilizes irony in an effort to mock. Irony is deliberately contrary to the point of opposition. Neither is entirely wrong but as irony is predominately situational, the more appropriate term would be sarcasm.

Just binging the first few (Number of _____ sold) seems to pull up that most of his numbers are mostly accurate. Not to the T of course but very close.

According to who? Why is this such a big deal? I just want to know where he got the numbers. If he wants to say they are his own guesses thats fine.

So I need to research your own claims. You do not have time to actually show evidence for your claims because you got stuff to do. Ok.

No, you need to research YOUR claims.
This is what you wrote.

S4-- 50,000,000
S5-- 15,000,000
M8-- 500,000
M7-- 5,000,000
Nexus 4-- 375,000
Nexus 5-- ?
G2-- 3,000,000
G3-- ?
Note 2 and Note 3 combined-- 40,000,000

Total-- 113,875,000-- Earliest release date of any of these phones is 2012.

iPhone since 2012-- 356,000,000
I am just asking where you got the figures for all those phones. That's all.

Samsung may have a nicer screen, but their overall phone quality is not comparable to Apple, IMO.

We all have opinions and while I share that one with you I find Samsung's quality good enough. They may not be as anal about detail and perfection as Apple but my S5 and Note 3 still have decent quality. So the home buttons don't sit perfectly straight on any of these devices (from what I've seen for myself and heard and read), I'm not perfect either. Currently, I'd rather have Samsung's imperfections and their phones than Apple's perfect build quality and their phones.

It's from an array of sources, I'd likely be too lazy to post the array myself too given the number but most are from fairly reputable sources like pcworld

Samsung has good quality, but I prefer Apple quality. It's all a matter of what fits a person's needs as far as phones are concerned.

Google copying Apple for a change

You must be a moron if you think iPhone 5C is not overpriced or if 16 GB of extra storage is worth $100.

I don't think it's overpriced and a lot of people don't either. In fact I did the calculations a little while back:

When you compare the 5c empirically to the industry, the 5c looks to be doing surprisingly well.

iPhone 5c sales are currently projected to have sold around 13million units.

The Competition:

Total sales by handset:
Nexus 4: sold 3 million units,
Nexus 5: -
Htc One (m7): 5 million units
LG g2: 2.2 million units
Huawei p6: 3 million units
*Note 3: 10 million shipped (not sold)
Moto x: 500,000 units

Total sales last quarter:
*Galaxy s4: 9 million units
Nokia Lumia Series: 8.8 million units
*Blackberry 10 sales: 1.1 million units
*Legacy blackberry sales: 3.2 million.

*Sell-in figures (these are units shipped not sold).

Here is a breakdown of iPhone sold in the winter quarter:

"In fact, while the exact iPhone sales ratio is a closely held secret inside Apple, data from multiple sources, compiled by blogger J. M. Manness, indicates that about 12.8 million of the 51 million iPhones Apple sold in the winter quarter were iPhone 5c, while 6.4 million were iPhone 4S and 31.9 million were iPhone 5s. That number aligns with reports that the 5s outsold 5c by a ratio of around 2.5:1 overall."

This season I find that I love these Samsung flagships and their flavor of Android. We'll see what the Fall brings and if its enough to pull me back to the Dark Side. ...really wish WindowsPhone would get its act together app-wise. I mean, dagonn, it is 2014.

Amen to Windows. They are the smoothest OS that I've tried. Like you said, if Microsoft would get it together, they would become a major player over time, IMO.

Absolutely. WindowsPhone is smooth. Functions great and is home to devices with he best cameras available, IMO. I absolutely LOVED the two Lumia 1520's I've briefly had but just couldn't accepts the lack of and poor quality of apps. :-( ...but DAGGONIT that 1520 was special.
