Google reminders marked as done but they keep popping up in the notification shade as if not done

Two reminders I set and have completed today have been continually popping up, even though I keep marking them as done. Very annoying. Help please?

Same here. The only way I get rid of them is to delete them in inbox

For me this is the way they should work. I want to see when they're done. And I don't want them gone until I actually delete them.

Go to your feed > Upcoming > Hamburger Menu in the bottom right > Reminders

Are they showing "Done" in that listing?

They're not there because I even deleted them (and not just marked as done), but they still pop up, even this morning!!

Can you give us an example of a reminder that's giving you grief? What application did you create it in (Google Assistant; Calendar; Gmail; other)?

Through Google Assistant. One of them was a reminder to pay something.

I use Google reminders religiously. I have been having the same issues, which began a few days ago. I can complete the reminder via the task or from the Google feed and neither stop the task from popping again. I believe that clearing the task from the reminders section of the Google app might be the only solution that has worked for me. I'm using a Verizon Galaxy S7.

There is a "send feedback" option within the Google app. I'll will be going that route.

Under settings, last selection > Support and tips. Phone support is available 24/7. Chat available too, but only during certain hours.

I was having this very same problem for at least the past 4-5 days but it seems to have fixed itself. My guess is the Google update I got recently. I'm a beta tester so I'm guessing it was introduced in the beta but then fixed.

Yes, reminders listed in "done" section are still popping up. Anyone think this can be a result of some unintended interaction with Google Home device/app?

I said in the post above yours that it was resolved but it hasn't been. Same problem as you. I'm sure it'll sort itself out soon enough

You can see when they are done. Once marked as done you can go to your "Reminders" in the Google app and see any past / completed reminders. Makes no sense for a reminder to stay active / keep generating a notification when you literally hit the "DONE" button. It kind of doesn't make sense to be reminded about something I said I completed.

Yeah it is bugged right now. I have submitted feedback.

Since the "DONE" button on the notifications isn't working I simply open the Google Feed, click the menu at the top right, go to reminders, and then go to the "On Going" section and swipe the notification to the right and that sets them as done.
