As long as its withen a resonable amount of time, im willing to wait for a fix as long as it works.
By resonable im not talking about a year
I hear you! To some extent, I'm stuck with Sprint because of its shared data plans (if I go anywhere else, the rest of my family will need to get their own data plans and my bill(s) will skyrocket). However, Verizon's signal is so much better in my area (Detroit) and the LTE is so good here, my patience is wearing thin.
Where this problem really affects me is my ability to use the Google Music Beta. Since the NS has no external storage, my plan was to load no music on the device itself and rely solely on streaming. With the data throughput I'm getting from Sprint right now, that is next to impossible. I can rarely go for more than a few minutes before the Google Music Beta starts sputtering out. And the Amazon Cloud Player is even worse! It's gotten so bad that I've had to pull out my T-Mobile WiFi hostpot on my drives home just to be able to stream music.
To make matters worse, I've begun experiencing the WiFi issues as well. After a half-hour or so of use, my phone still shows a connection with my router, but I can't surf anywhere or get any data. The only solution is to toggle WiFi (one time that didn't work and I had to tell the NS to forget my network and then do a new setup).
Testing 4G is harder, since Detroit only has a handful of WiMax towers and very weak signals. I can confirm, however, that my 4G speeds are much lower than what I got on my Evo at the same locations.
Love everything else about the NS 4G (and especially the NFC chip in conjunction with the great NFC Tasker app -- just amazing) but these throughput issues are killing me!
