Google saves my searches.....

Everyone has the app, unless your phone is a Chinese knockoff. It seems my help is generally as good as anyone's willingness to solve a problem. Sometimes better. I asked you to look for the app, or do a screenshot. Not willing? No one's going to do it for you.

A couple of things about your Google problem. When logged in the history search is not stored in an app, it's a log in your Google account. This is good for some people because you can sync data between devices and apps. Doesn't look you are a big fan of this feature, so...

You can use chrome and search without being logged in (easy, log out switch history off).

You can use chrome being logged in without syncing between devices and apps (easy thing in chrome sync settings).

You can disable search history in YOUR ACCOUNT (easy with the instructions provided here through Google search).

After deleting history in chrome sometimes the old one is still there. Clear cookies and cache of that happens.

Chrome uses a lot of memory. You can have a routine to clear cache and data to avoid that our you can disable it and use a different and lighter browser.

Mate, there are some people trying to help you, no need to be rude. :)

Good luck.

Ok I'm well aware everybody has the Google search app but as I've mentioned multiple times now. I don't use that app and have it turned off. I need help with the Google Chrome browser. And I don't know how to take a screen shot which is why I asked above.

Use incognito mode if you are so worried about your history being saved or clear history after every time you use chrome.

But I'm talking about the search bar saving my searches, not the history.

The app is just a front end for search. If you ever search in Chrome, you're using search. In case anyone else needs to know how to take a screenshot on a Galaxy S4, http://lmgtfy.com/?q=how+to+do+a+screenshot+in+galaxy+s4 :)

How do I stop it from saving my searches without going into incognito mode??

Did you tried my previous link? Read it full expanding every item. This is just one of them.

"You can turn off your Search History to prevent future searches from being saved to your Search History. But some features, including Google Now, won’t work when your Search History is turned off.

Visit your History page. In the top right corner of the page, touch the gear > Settings > touch Pause.

Your Search History will now be turned off for any computers or devices you use with your Google Account."

The copy & paste had some issues. It isn't the "history tab" but the "history page". This one:

http://www.google.com/history

Sign in and follow instructions.

I tried that. I went to the page and signed in. It went to a page that said turn Web history on which I didnt. I touched the little gear symbol however there was no pause there, just remove items and settings. Clicking on the settings takes me to a page that says enable search save which I don't want. Both of those search things are disabled and off.

Well, that's Google's way to do that and it looks like you have already set search history off!

I don't know what else to say mate. Just to sum up:

- clear browsing data in chrome, reboot your phone and try again.

- contact Google and tell them that their way to stop search to be saved doesn't work. They can even check what's going on with your log.

- use incognito mode or another browser with easier settings.
