Google search question.

Hi all. Real quick here. I've got this friend, who's husband has the Droid. Well she went to use the google search in the native browser on his phone. She had to look something up pertaining to a medical issue for her 2 year old son. And as she was typing in the google search engine...I guess the history of his last 3 searches came up. 1st one was "big boobs"...2nd was something having to do with cars...and 3rd was "how to stop being addicted to pills". She told me that he's had problems with the 1st (porn to be exact) and 3rd. And he works on cars, so the 2nd makes sense also. Anyways, she confronted him about all of this. And he's telling her that kind of stuff is always sent to his phone, kinda like spam etc. And also I guess he has a friend who is a vzw rep, and he also says the same thing. But the chances of those 3 searches popping up in the search history just randomly and for no reason, when he has direct relations to them, are pretty slim in my opinion. Anyways, I just want to help my friend out and get to the bottom of this. So my question is this: Does Google send random spam to your phone, just out of the blue? Cuz that seems to be the husbands excuse. And she's not buying it (nor am I) Any help on this matter will be appreciated, thank you in advance.

I'm not surprised her 2 year old son had an interest in large mammaries, but isn't he a little young to be into cars and pills?

No. Those search queries only showed up because someone had previously entered them in. Any other explanation is pure bullsheet.

You say "I guess the history" like you or your friend aren't sure you're looking at the history...well google does have an autosuggest feature that can be quite funny sometimes. If i start typing...lets say P O R, google will perhaps auto suggest PORN. Is that what your friend saw?

Just did pot and got everything but porn. But that's his search history I typed p and it gave me a previous search for gmail widget

I never actually checked...I was just giving an example.

There are some suggestive/predictive searches which can fill in as you type in one or two words, it'll recommend items to search for..so lets say you type the word "big" in "boobs" could possibly come up..but that won't be one of the first searches that comes up. It sounds like that isn't the case here, seems like its his history and the rep isn't understanding the situation or hes trying to look out for his buddy. History only fills up with actual search items.

I said "I guess" because I wasn't actually there. I was told over the phone. And she just told me today that she was typing in "the Drs.", and those popped up. 1st "big boobs", 2nd something having to do with cars and 3rd "how to not be addicted to pills". Thanks guys! Much appreciated.
