Google Search sucking battery, even at rest....

In the last week or two, Google Search as started sucking the life out of my battery. I leave the phone on a table downstairs over night and the next day it is down dramatically. Sometimes with little use during the day Search uses more juice than the screen. Anyone else notice this? I don't recall is Search received a recent update or not.

I've noticed a major change in my battery drain in the past two weeks although I'm not sure it was Google Search doing it. Last night I had 40% battery when I went in to watch Interstellar and my phone was dead 3 hours later after being in my pocket for 3 hours. I uninstalled AC Display and a couple games that I had installed a couple weeks ago. Things seem to be much better today.

I'm having to same problem. Anyone know how to just disable it?
