So there is an option for "Use My Location" under the Google search widget settings. Does this use the GPS or does it use your 3G for cell signal (similar to the option under the "Location and Security" setting)? Whenever I search, I don't see my GPS icon flashing, so I'm assuming it is usingmy 3G signal. Wouldn't cause a lot of battery drain because it is constantly puling in data throuh 3G?
Also, I know this has been answered before, but I thought I read that this was FROYO specific. I read that there is now a bug to where if you leave your GPS enabled in Froyo that it causes more battery drain? In Eclair, you could leave it enabled and it wouldn't cause any drain if there were no applications calling for your location. Is it different fo Froyo now, to where you should only leave it enabled when you need it?
