Google Shamu: Motorola Nexus 6 (Nexus X)

"Stages of grief" Denial...throwing their N5 off the wall(anger).....buying an N6(acceptance).

I'd venture to guess a decent % of the people screaming it's too big will crack and buy one...... I remember "There is no way anyone is buying a Galaxy Note.. 5.3 is just too big....." 4 models and two size increases later...............................................

Happasaiyan any new updates on it coming to Verizon? And if it's staying a Nexus or some other model?

From XDA FWIW:

just passed by a verizon store at lunch to take a look at the new moto x, and I gotta say it has a nice premium feel, the interesting thing is the sales guy told me that they(verizon) is going to sell the nexus 6 in november, $450 for a 32gb, I responded, "are you sure is not the droid turbo?" and he said "no, nexus 6"

This would make me so happy if true......

Oh and Happasianya knows I believe everything they tell us and they said it would be on Verizon over a month ago but hearing other people say it is just reassuring albeit I won't TOTALLY believe anyone until I see it :)

I cant fully believe it until it's official but yes since happasaiyan has popped up (haven't noticed him prior to the new moto x rumors ) he has yet to be wrong. I just worry that things change behind the scenes between now and then. Just because it's being tested on Verizon doesn't mean it will actually launch :-/

Very true. The silver lining is that nothing I have actually seen didn't make prime-time. Some of the things I heard about potentially happening (2014 Moto X fingerprint scanner) has been hit or miss...or taken much longer than anticipated (custom "ok google, now" phrase took 2 years). :)

Unveiled tomorrow along with Volantis according to this...(unless that's the droid Turbo?)

Nexus 9 To Launch Tomorrow And Will Be The First Device To Run Android L - Forbes

I love the blog post way of doing a release........ It's simple... why waste money on a big "Event" People are going to buy these devices regardless if there is an EVENT or not.... Just release a bunch of pictures and a detailed spec sheet with pricing and an "ORDER NOW" button and lets go...

Its a brilliant way of doing things. The Note 4 launch for example has been a joke. A month and a half after its big reveal, its still not launched never mind its insane pricing.

I wonder if it was a software thing or the x8 just wasn't upto it.

The other problem is the "EVENT" is only for a select group of people... Mostly the press and hand picked bloggers/columist... All those same people will probably be able to request and receive a test unit after the fact.. and then us regular folks just read about it and look at the pictures..... (Then drool)

Do you know if this will go on sale tomorrow? Or just announced tomorrow? I still wonder if it will have wireless charging and if it will have an LED light...

Led is almost a given. It's a Nexus so it shouldn't have any moto extras unless Google is changing things up. Plus the nexus tends to have one rather large notification light. Qi should be there too Google is invested in it

I feel like maybe they're going to allow for nexus/moto maker modifications. At a premium, of course. I don't know, sounds somewhat logical.

And come one, we need this thing - oop - just got a notification from 9to5google saying announcement was tomorrow.

Guess we'll see!
