I think it is so obvious now, that the leaks I have seen over the past months re a 5.2" #Nexus are actually the Droid turbo and the 5.9" have been for Shamu and the #Nexus6

So excited!!!

Wait until a quick blog post today saying it doesn't go on sale until later in the month and won't deliver until Mid November........... (or later)

I'd be more confident in shipping soon if it at least had passed through the FCC already.... The Nexus 9 already did and it's still rumored to not hit the shelves until November.... I think I've been seeing "L" isn't ready yet......

IMO, whether the phone arrives today or next month is irrelevant. I just want an announcement w/ all the specs and features listed. Once I get this info, I can hold over myself for a month or so.

Mainly this is to see if the phone is available for Verizon or not. That's my biggest concern b/c if it's not, I have to look elsewhere.

Cases are all over the place. I've seen some as early as November 3rd and some as late as December. The only stock I would put into that is we know it's coming and it'll give us dimensions.

The announcement will placate me for about 15 minutes, then I'll be jonesing to get it in my hands.

That said, there are definitely a few things I'm desperate to know from the announcement. Primarily Qi charging. Also storage, price, and any other goodies (fingerprint scanner?).

Everything except the Verizon part..... I am pretty happy with my Nexus 5..... Lucky enough to have disposable income to throw at a new phone and I've wanted a Phablet device ever since the Note 3 hit.... Would have gotten the Oneplus had they not played so many games for so long... Looked at the LG G3 a few times and made a few offers on some used ones on Swappa and Craigslist.. Never hit right though.... If most of the rumored specs are accurate I'll preorder and wait it out..... I'll sit around praying it ships sooner than advertised and wish I had it wish I had it wish I had it... but right now I just want confirmation of specs and at least an estimated ship date without games and hoops to win the right to buy... LOL!!!!

Well, I still think actual availability will be Halloween at the earliest.
My personal belief is it will maintain those Motorola Features including Turbo charge support. (Unsure on wireless)

What do you think on adaptive reception based on how you hold the device? (as is in the Moto X 2014)
That's one hardware feature I'm pretty much assuming is included based on the design similarity.

The Qi would be huge and awesome!!! Just curious. Do you know anything about the release but can't say, or just don't know? Also, it looks like nobody is going to get fired this year for leaks. This has been locked down...

The Forbes article about the Nexus 9 was updated to say NO expandable storage. That should dash any tiny hopes that the 6 might have expandable storage.

I'm ok with not being able to order today. all I want is spec and upgrade my Nexus 5 to Android L. If we can get android L update today, that will be something to play with until we can actually get a Nexus 6.

I read the reason for no "EVENT" and just a blog post was that Android L wasn't ready for production yet... so I doubt you'd see "L" on your Nexus 5 any time soon....

But I've been wrong before.....

Would you use the fingerprint scanner? Seems like a Samsung/Apple gimmick to me that I would never even use.

I'm also in your boat. My Moto X is perfect.... except I would prefer 5.5"-5.7"

Your last line is definitely my thought process though.
