Google Talk (2.3.4) problem?

Hello there everyone , so, my friend and I have a CM7 on our phones. Also, we have installed the updated Google Talk app, which enables voice and video calls. My problem is, when I start a voice call with him, I can hear the ringing but he cant. Also, he cannot call me as the app doesnt let him (it does not display the option for voice calls from him to me, but both of us have allowed video/voice calls.) I was just wondering if anyone knows what I'm referring to? Any comments/help is appreciated. Thank You.

I do not have this problem with 2.3.4 on my Nexus S 4g to another Nexus S 4g or computer in that matter. Maybe it's a problem with cm7.
