Google text to speech can now be installed on the note 3

I was annoyed that Samsung forced you to use their voice synthesis, but now you can use Google text to speech which sounds better than Samsung, imo.

Doesn't it sound different than the "Google Now" voice? On my prior HTC One, I remember that same voice being used in the maps app. The one with this download doesn't seem as high quality.

I don't use Google now speech, but this is way better than Samsung English, imo.

In the Samsung apps under utilities, there is an update. It's the Samsung TTS HD US voice. It BLOWS chunks on the Google voice TTS. Actually it has British too.

I tried out "Ivona" text to speech (British accent) and it is pretty good. You can customize the voice a bit (pitch and speed). It's worth checking out if you want another option.
