Google to keep Motorola's Advanced Technology group, including Project Ara modular phone

The best part of Motorola is moving to the Android team

So they keep the patents, license them to Lenovo. They keep some key bits and projects required to advance Google innovation, the rest gets pushed off to an OEM wanting to make a better inroad. Sounds like a win-win for everyone, except (but possibly even) those who love the Google/Moto partnership that produced the X, etc. Lots to think about here, and too many people jumping to wild conclusions with no evidence and then rumors spawning from that, rinse, repeat, hardly anyone knows anything but everyone thinks they know everything. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out.
