AC Question

Hi There
my LG 47GA7900 is not able to obtain the list of lineup after a reset and I can't see any channels on the TV. Lg support is not so great about that. I think is something related to the software. Do you have any idea how to fix that?

Thanks

Welcome to Android Central! Are you connected to your local cable TV provider, or are you trying to access TV channels over the web?

The TV is connected to the Web using WI-FI but nothing change is it is hard wired. The TV Cable is connected too. No problem to install apps or surf. Tuning process need to download a the list of lineup using your zip code and choose the provider. It seems to me this list is not available or there is some software issue doing that.

Customer care said they can't do anything, it is a google matter.

I have the same problem. Only on Google TV. Got rid of my over-priced ATT service and switced to antenna. My google tv now can't find my local lineup. All other TVs simply scanned and worked. This local lineup feature is retarded. All I need is to scan for channels found via the antenna. My Internet, location, all are setup properly. I've used a multitude of zip codes with no success. Unless someone is able to help, I'm gonna have to get rid of this set! Please help!

I ave the same issues with my LG model 50GA6400-UD. Seems that the last firmware upgrade for all the LG Google TV's was to Android 4.2.2 Smart TV. The hidden bomb in that firmware release was to disable the tuner and hence the TV/coax port on all the Google TV's so either LG and/or Google would no longer have to fix the firmware and could just blame the problem on defective hardware. They also picked up some nice services revenue visiting unsuspecting soon to be former customers.
As an aside to all this, there are FCC statutes and Federal laws that maintain that ALL TV's sold in the US MUST be able to connect to OTA TV. None of these former Google TV's can boast that capability any more. My Senators and Congressmen seemed less than interested in pursuing this. I don't have enough money to file legal action.
