I don't know what else changed but now there is an option to Always display a number row. Love it.

Yup, thats a nice feature not sure why it took them this long to implement it. It now also lets you search for and insert gifs from the keyboard itself.

Ugh, still waiting for the update to push out. Excited about the merge of languages instead of having to alternate between the two and yet a preference to identify what you're necessarily typing.

I never got an update and in the play store with the keyboard offered it does not say install or anything. Odd

On my keyboard long press on the comma and emoji on bottom left and settings menu should pop up. Go to preferences to add the number row. Long press on that same spot and emoji s will pop up. You will see the gif icon at the bottom.

When you use the built in Google search on the keyboard and it pulls up a card, is it suppose to convert it to text when you share it?

Yep. That one option (number row) made me swap from SK to GK full time now :).

What gif. Didn't see any

Hit the emoji key and then choose "GIF" at the bottom. You can search the internet for various gif files, tap them, and it'll toss them into whatever app you're in so you can send them to people :).
