Google verification not working

As you can see below, I'm trying to sign in on a computer that isn't a personal computer and I'm not getting the "press volume key on phone to verify" notification on my Pixel 5. I got it reliably every time on my 3xl preciously.

Any idea what I need to set up on the new phone?

Correct. On my phone I normally have to press the volume down key. It's not even showing up on my pixel 5 is what I'm saying.

I've never seen the option to press a Volume button, just on screen Yes or No options

You may have to go into your Google account settings on your computer and configure it so that it is associated with your new pixel 5.

On your computer, go to myaccount.google.com, then Security, then look at your 2-Step Verification options. I think the option to press a Volume button requires you to use the Security Key option.

I keep trying to do this and it's not working. It asks for my fingerprint and then says there's an error. Very frustrating.

I have no idea how I was able to log in but I finally got to where I could check my security key. It still had my old 3xl and I had to replace it with the 5.

All good now. Very odd and frustrating. Next time I get a new phone I'll look for this thread again lol.
