Google Voice Breaks Texts?

I installed Google Voice on my device, and now the text messages go ONLY through that app now... Very annoying, and if you uninstall the Google Voice app, you STILL can't receive ANY text messages what so ever... Leaving your phone pretty much useless in the way of texting...

Any ideas on how to fix this? I am currently doing a factory reset to see if it helps....

Nope.. Resetting the phone DOES NOT HELP..... WTFH?!

The setting is not on the phone. Go to google.com/voice and you can change the settings from there

Only thing that I have found that works.. Is unlinking your sprint number from google voice... VERY disappointing... I love google voice, but if it is going to just up right destroy text messaging without giving you a single freaking option on how its controlled, then I'm through with it.. I'll just use google voice as an emergency solution only.. like, when my service gets disrupted because of the bill not being paid or something, cause at least then i can still text using the google voice number..

This sorta thing REALLY pisses me off, and this needs to be fixed before I EVER integrate again..

There is no setting, I had looked. Only option is to forward texts via email. Nothing about sending texts to the actual phone.. so as I said previously, I'm just going to up right cancel the stupid thing...

I got mine working, i think. If anyone has any better settings, let me know

on the google voice app itself

I have synchronize inbox checked
background data enabled
text messages checked
inbox notification is unchecked

on google voice on my computer, click on your number on the upper right side of the screen
click the edit button below your sprint number and make sure Receive text messages on this phone is checked

then under voicemail and texts i have Email the message to:[] unchecked
and Send a text (SMS) message to: Mobile checked
text forwarding is unchecked
