Google voice message regarding order fulfillment removed

I just called the Google Play Store customer support line to see if they have any updated message regarding fulfillment of orders. The voice message by the man with the British accent, regarding shipping all untis by today, has been removed. I wonder if that means that they still expect to ship all pre-order units by today, or if they no longer want to make a promise they can't keep.

BTW - even at 6:00 am EDT the support line is swamped and Google acknowledges that calls will not be answered in a reasonable time period.
