google voice search not working

Hi, I tried using the voice, function but it didn't work the Mic icon used to glow before but now it doesn't what should I do?????

update google search. clear data cache for google app and then try again

Did you try and reboot the system yet?

And Im facing the same problem, again.

When we speak, the mic icon glows right? in my n7, it doesnt and there is no response.
I'ld be glad if you could help me out.
Also I tried updating,clearing cache and rebooting but to no avail.
