Google Vpn Auto-connect?

Does anyone else have the same issue when restarting their phone, even when the use vpn option is off? TIA

Mine's the opposite, it won't turn on nor connect period. Don't care that much though, it used to work just fine.

My son solved my issue. Apparently l had the Verizon vpn turned on which loaded when restarting my phone; not the Google vpn which I thought was the issue.
